Dandelion Wishes Card

Hello!  Welcome to my Wednesday blog post.

As I am writing this post we are getting some much needed rain here in SE Queensland - and some welcome relief from the hot weather we have been experiencing!

Today's card is my entry in the Crazy Crafter's Facebook Group Colour Challenge for March: Bermuda Bay, Grapefruit Grove and Night of Navy.

Honestly, I was a bit daunted by this colour combo and had no idea what I was going to do.  So why not go completely out of my comfort zone and try something I had never done before - sponge brayering!

Sponge brayering - have you tried it before?  I don't know why I waited so long to do it.  It is so easy and was quite relaxing!

In addition to first time brayering, today's card is also my first time using the Dandelion Wishes stamp set.  This is such a beautiful stamp set and I bought it to use in my children's scrapbook/project life albums, but it also makes beautiful cards.

This card was so very simple to make.  I used Bermuda Bay and Grapefruit Grove inks on the background and stamped the sentiment and images in Night of Navy.  A strip of Night of Navy yardstick was used to separate the images and sentiment on the front of the card, with Grapefruit Grove twine wrapped around it as embellishment.

A layer of Night of Navy behind the card front, attached to a thick Whisper White card base and my card was done!  Using the images of the dandelions I also decorated the inside of the card and the envelope.

This was a lot of fun to create and I love the way the card looks.  Although these are not colours that I would have used together, I am so glad I stepped out of my comfort zone and created this card.

Butterfly Gala Magnetic Calendars

Hello and happy Friday!

At the start of each year, I love to make magnetic calendars for family and friends.  I know that it is almost the end of February, but I still wanted to share these with you.

For my calendars this year I used the new Butterfly Gala Suite from the Stampin' Up! 2019 Occasions Catalogue and they match the note cards from my blog post last week.  This is because I made enough of the calendars this year to send out to my customers with their Occasions and Sale-a-bration catalogues.

These were so fun and easy to make and I love the way they turned out.  I do love all five colours in the Gingham Gala Suite however, I must admit that the one in Highland Heather is definitely my favourite.

The sentiment, "Hope your day is as amazing as you", is from the Incredible Like You Photopolymer Stamp Set and I thought it was perfect to use on a calendar!

Instead of stamping the small butterflies, I used the Butterfly Duet Punch to punch them out from one of the pieces of the Botanical Butterfly DSP.  How cool is it that we can do that?

Butterfly Gala Notecards

Welcome to Kylie Bertucci's Demonstrator Training February Blog Hop.  All of the amazing projects in this blog hop will showcase current Stampin' Up! product.

My project today is a set of cute notecards using products from the Butterfly Gala suite that can be found in Stampin' Up!'s 2019 Occasions Catalogue.  A full list of products used is provided at the end of this post.

These notecards have been made using the Whisper White Narrow Notecards & Envelopes and showcases the Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper - one in each colour: Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight, Grapefruit Grove, Highland Heather and Lemon Lime Twist.

The piece of Gingham Gala DSP is matted on a coordinating piece of coloured card stock and adhered directly on to the notecard.

Each butterfly was cut out of the Botanical Butterfly DSP using the new Butterfly Duet Punch (which can be purchased with the Butterfly Gala photopolymer stamp set as the Butterfly Gala Photopolymer Bundle).  It is so handy to be able to punch out the images from the DSP and it made these notecards super quick to make!

The sentiment, "a little note", comes from the Butterfly Gala photopolymer stamp set and it is stamped on a label from the Stitched Labels Framelits, on Whisper White card stock.

As a nice subtle finishing touch, the coordinating Gingham Gala Adhesive-Backed sequins have been used to embellish the notecards.
